If you're not 100% satisfied with your Brooklyn Bicycle, please reach out to us within 30 days, and we'll do everything we can to resolve the issue. One of the reasons we partner with bike shops around the country via our Buy & Ride program is to ensure that your bike is in perfect working order, from the hands of a professional mechanic, before it ever reaches you.
Warranty
Frame
We’re so confident in the quality of our products that our frames are warrantied against manufacturing defects for life.
- Warranty is only valid for the original owner and is non-transferable. Proof of purchase must be provided.
- Manufacturing defects do not include damage resulting from improper use, lack of maintenance, user-incurred damage, accidents, and/or wear and tear, including gearing and brake adjustments.
Parts
Brooklyn Bicycle Co. offers a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects on the following:
- Brakes, Calipers, and Rotors
- Drivetrains
- Handlebars/Stems
- Pedals
- Seat Posts
- Wheels and Hubs
The following are not warrantied:
- Brake Pads
- Chains
- Cosmetic Blemishes
- Fenders
- Spokes
- Grips
- Paint
- Saddles
- Tire Treads and Tubes
- Tire Blooming
Activating Your Warranty
We recommend registering your warranty. Please note your warranty is only activated upon professional assembly of your bike, and proof of professional assembly must be provided for any warranty claim.
Additionally, please note we do not capture serial numbers; we will only have your serial number on file if you register it with us. Your serial number can be found stamped into your frame's bottom bracket underneath where the pedal arms pass through.
How to Submit a Warranty Inquiry
You can submit your warranty inquiry through our Warranty Inquiry Submission Form:
- A photo or video of the issue
- A description of the issue
- Your serial number
Please note a photo and serial number are essential to processing your submission.
Return & Exchange Policy
The most common reason for returns is an issue with sizing. Please view our products’ size guides to ensure you’re ordering the correct size bicycle and reach out to us if you have any doubts regarding what size bike you should buy. To help you avoid our restocking fee, please reach out to us via phone at 800.631.0630, schedule a one-on-one consultation call with our Concierge line, live chat on our website, or contact us if you have sizing concerns.
For anything other than sizing, we can usually resolve most issues without resorting to a return, so please contact us. If you'd still like to return, please note that returns must be initiated within 30 days of your purchase date (or within 30 days of shipment, for back-ordered items).
CANCELLATIONS: If you need to cancel your order and your order or pre-order has not shipped, please reach out immediately. Our team processes orders quickly, but we will make every effort to catch it before it goes out the door. Please note since every order is treated as a firm order and inventory is being allocated, cancellations will incur a 5% cancellation fee. That's absolutely not made to be punitive, it just covers the cost of processing fees that we have incurred on your transaction. If you are uncertain about the bike or size that may be right for you, please reach out to us prior to placing your order or pre-order.
Return & Exchange Policy for Bicycles
Returned and exchanged bicycles that were purchased directly from Brooklyn Bicycle Co. incur a flat $200 restocking fee. We understand that a restocking fee of $200.00 seems excessive, however we pay to have the original bike shipped and assembled by your local bike shop, then disassembled and shipped back us. All of this is included in the flat restocking fee.
All purchases on discounted bicycles are final sale, including all promotional discounts, sales, and coupons. All factory deal items are final sale.
Return & Exchange Policy for Accessories
Brooklyn Bicycle Co. will accept returns of new, unopened, and unused and/or defective merchandise by mail. Please note that returns must be initiated within 30 days of your purchase (or within 30 days of shipment for backordered items only).
Shipping fees—both outbound and return—are non-refundable. If the item you are returning originally shipped for free, we will refund your payment less the current cost of shipping for similar items.
Please contact us regarding your return. We will provide you with a Returns Authorization Number, which you are required to write on the outside of your package to expedite your return process.
Any items included in a sale, or purchased with a promotional code or coupon, are final sale. All factory deal items are final sale. Please note any free promotional items you may have received separately must also be returned in new condition with your return, otherwise the full retail value will be deducted from your refund amount.
Due to hygienic reasons, please note helmets are final sale, and are ineligible for returns or exchanges.
