FAQ
Sporty, compact, and ready for anything.
One of our most versatile commuter bikes, the Lorimer features a wide gearing range and puncture-resistant tires for all-day and all-terrain riding. But don’t let this sleek hybrid bike fool you: It’s just as ideal for commuting and running errands as it is for working up a sweat on city streets or bike paths. The ultra-lightweight, double-butted chromoly steel frame delivers a light and smooth ride everywhere life takes you. While similar in design to its sibling the Roebling, the Lorimer sets itself apart with a more compact cockpit and wider saddle.

Every bicycle includes free shipping AND professional assembly through our Buy & Ride Program. Once your bike ships, you'll be riding within 14 business days.
Our number one priority is making your bicycle purchase as simple as possible- while also ensuring the bicycle you receive is up to our stringent quality requirements. That's why we ship every one of our bicycles to a hand-selected local bike shop for professional assembly. Once it's fully assembled and ready to ride, you simply head into the shop and roll out the door!
Our industry leading Buy & Ride program was the first of its kind. Through years of experience, and a large network of partner shops across the country, we've perfected the process.
There are several factors to consider when choosing your new bike, and we're here to help!
We highly recommend reading our Bike Buying Guide, along with watching the video. You'll want to consider your preferences on things like frame style and gearing range, and take into account how you'll be using your bike, and on what terrain.
We also recommend taking our Bike Finder Quiz which will point you in the right direction based upon your considerations.
And finally, it's important to note that bike sizing is not universal across brands, nor across models. Each bike has a unique geometry which means different sizing. Please consult the sizing guide recommendations.
If you have any questions or are between sizes, please contact us for personalized guidance and we'd happy to assist!
Brooklyn Bicycle Co. frames and forks are warrantied against manufacturing defects for life under the original owner, while parts and hardware are guaranteed for one year after purchase. This warranty is non-transferrable and covers manufacturing defects, not user-incurred damage, unforeseen accidents, and/or everyday wear and tear. You can read our full warranty here.
If you're still unsure of sizing, or just want confirmation that you’re making the right choice, give us a call at 800.631.0630, live chat with a team member, or contact us. You can also schedule a call with our Bike Concierge.
We understand that a bicycle is a big investment, and we want you to be 100% confident your choice.
While similar in design to its sibling the Roebling, the Lorimer sets itself apart with a more compact cockpit and wider saddle. It's ideal for our more petite riders from 4'10 - 5'7".
Absolutely! The Lorimer has all the braze-ons (mounting points) you'd need to add things like fenders, a rear rack, a kickstand, a front basket, or a water bottle cage.
